Volunteer Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer here at Riverview Home Corporation. Please follow the next few steps in our Volunteer Program recruitment process.

Application

Prospective volunteers can pick up our volunteer application at our front office or download the printable form below.

Interviews and Placement

The Recreation Coordinator selects, interviews and places the appropriate volunteers. If assistance is needed during the process, the Recreation Coordinator calls upon Support Planning staff to assist. Volunteers are placed based on the skills required for a program.

Orientation

Orientation takes place after all the steps above are completed. Volunteers complete orientation before implementing a program. Completion of orientation is mandatory for volunteers to complete for the health and safety of the volunteer, residents and staff.

Volunteers First Day

During the first day of Volunteering at Riverview Home the volunteer will receive: 

  • An Orientation Booklet
  • A Photo Identification
  • A Tour

Evaluation

The Recreation Coordinator completes evaluations on an as-needed basis. Feedback questionnaires are presented randomly as one way of improving our services.
